The PhD Mentoring Day will be held on July 3, 2024, one day prior to the start of the 31st Finance Forum coordinated by Scientific Committee Director, Ariadna Dumitrescu (ESADE)
Ariadna Dumitrescu
Ariadna Dumitrescu is an Associate Professor of Finance at ESADE Business School. She holds a PhD in Economics from IDEA, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Bucharest. Her research deals with market participants’ strategic behaviour and the role of information in investors’ decisions with applications to sustainable finance and financial markets microstructure.
Invited Professors
Hans Degryse
Hans Degryse is Professor of Finance at the Department of Accountancy, Finance and Insurance of the KU Leuven. He is a research fellow at the CEPR, CESIfo, the European Banking Center (EBC), SUERF, and TILEC. His research focuses on financial intermediation, including empirical banking as well as theoretical and empirical market microstructure. He co-authored, with Moshe Kim and Steven Ongena, the graduate textbook Microeconometrics of Banking: Methods, Applications and Results published by Oxford University Press.
Roni Michaely
Roni Michaely is the Zhang Yonghong Endowed Chair Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurialship at The University of Hong Kong Business School, and the founder Managing Director of the HKU Tel-Aviv Innovation Hub. Professor Michaely is also a research member at the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). Professor Michaely’s research interests are in the areas of empirical Corporate Finance and Capital Markets.
